Leader Tools & Resources

New hires arrive full of energy and enthusiasm. They're looking for the best way to get up to speed and start contributing, and a great onboarding process lets them do just that. Therefore, the fundamentals and objectives of onboarding are crucial to setting a new employee up for success. New employees must be introduced to the right people, have a clear understanding of their role, and be equipped with the right resources.

A new employee's direct leader plays the most critical role in the onboarding journey. Because of that, we've created this page to link you to tools and resources that will help support you in creating an exceptional onboarding experience for your employee.

Overview

Once a new team member has established relationships and has solid foundational knowledge of the company and their place in it, we shift to taking on greater responsibilities. The remaining months of the onboarding process are more flexible. You can adjust the plan based on the new hire's performance, their role, departmental needs, and on broader company factors. This is also where you can have a strengths-based conversation and begin to ask about passion projects.

Goals:
  • Create SMART goals.
  • Discuss strengths and career goals.
  • Introduce more complex projects.
